Opus VIII - Nocturnal Constellations

About this artwork

Opus VIII – Nocturnal Constellations explores the silent drama of the night sky — not as a literal landscape, but as an emotional and energetic field. Using acrylic and modeling paste on canvas, I built a textured surface where deep, dark tones are interrupted by luminous orbs and flowing structures that recall distant stars, constellations, and fragments of invisible galaxies.

This piece was created as a meditation on how much is happening beyond what we can see. The circular forms, scattered lights, and layered marks suggest cycles, orbits, and subtle currents that connect everything in ways we rarely notice. Rather than describing a specific place, the painting evokes a feeling: standing under a vast, nocturnal sky, sensing both stillness and movement at the same time.

The modeling paste adds a tactile, almost sculptural quality to the surface. Light catches on ridges and textures, revealing new details as you move around the piece. From a distance, the work reads as a moody, cosmic abstract; up close, small shifts in color and relief invite slow looking and personal interpretation.

Opus VIII – Nocturnal Constellations belongs to my Opus series, where I explore rhythm, balance, and the energetic connections between inner states and cosmic imagery. In this work, the night is not empty — it is full of quiet signals, memories, and possibilities.
